At around 10:00pm most people begin to settle down and relax for the night; my jumbled sleep schedule, natural nocturnalness, and energy from the two hour nap at Tracy's house often keep me up into the long hours of the night. After watching television and spending time with Tracy, I felt anxious to go for a run.
It was about 1° F outside; Oh the weather outside is frightful, But the running is so delightful, and since we've no place to go, Let us go! Let us go! Let us go! The cold was still unable to keep me away from a pair of short shorts. My chest, however, was scared of the cold; I adorned my new Nike+ Jacket, complete with two reflective stripes, a sleeve insert that holds an iPod nano, a creative cord management system, and many slots for ventilation.
I departed for a quick run to the downtown Belleville area and back. I saw my dad about a quarter mile into the run; I wonder what my parents think when they see me running at odd times like this.
Returning home I was greeted by my loving family and girlfriend. Thanks for putting up with the crazy runs over the years, maybe it will change this year (you know it won't)!
